Meditation Program – 1

Meditation Program – 1

This is one of the first teaching  to start the Program, is the first part of an exercise which purpose is to connect the conscious mind with the unconscious, through a special type of meditation. This kind of meditation is divided into several parts which in turn are individually organized under an order which adapts in relation to how the student responds to the sessions and consequently its progress. For essentially didactic and practical reasons, the entire procedure will not get illustrated by now, but only the initial part, in which you must exert to successfully access the second part, and so to learn all the components of the full procedure.

The first part is about to achieve some altered state of consciousness. This altered state of consciousness, with time and practice, will become deeper and then we will add new phases to the operation, this to contact the subconscious.

The procedure is as follows:

1 – in a dimly lit environment and without the possibility of being interrupted by various natural sounds, starts a relaxation phase which may last for 2 to 3 minutes, at this stage, it is with closed eyes and contemplate the peace and absence of noise in the room.

2 – as soon as you feel sufficiently relaxed, you can begin to mentally recite a Catalyst Word that could be “OM”  just for example, or, alternatively, one of your choice (At this stage it does not matter the specific word, it’s just important feel comfortable in repeating it)

3 – to repeat this Catalyst Word you must be careful not to focus on it, it will be like to listen passively, as if it were someone else repeating it. It should be an automatic mechanism; as well as the intervals between one repetition and another, should not be imposed, it must be left to create spontaneously.

4 – During the meditation session, they will arrive thoughts of many different kind, of any kind, even trivial or the most sophisticated kind; all you have to do is “accept” anything “comes” without trying to suggest topics for meditation; a passive attitude is necessary: we create a bridge between the unconscious and the conscious-self;

5 – This meditation should be done last from 15 minutes up, but preferably not more than 30 minutes, at this early stage. Do not use alarms or ringtones of any kind, because it would create an “awakening” too abrupt with unpleasant consequences, such as irritability and possible headaches.

It’s strongly recommended the use of incense during the session, as it acts as a “trick” to reach a deeper state of relaxation and the following Theta-Condition. Some signs that indicate the success of this meditation is described as a feeling of general well-being and a sense of euphoria after it, due to sustained release of endorphins, the typical successful Theta or Theta-Gamma phase in the most successful cases.

This phase is the first step toward the development of an Art that requires constant application and the passage of time to develop to the fullest. Should be performed 2 sessions per day, but if that is impossible, one is enough. The most appropriate hours of the day, under a physiological profile, for this kind of meditation is between 4.30 and 7am, then before lunch between 11:30 and 13:00; the worst hours are those at evening, although many  for practical problems, uses too at evening to meditate with such good results however.
